Leonid Karpov (born June 9, 1951 in Voronezh) - Russian guitarist, singer and teacher. Laureate of international competitions. In 1975 he graduated from the Kiev Conservatory. PI Tchaikovsky class lecturer YG Puchalski in 1987 - post-graduate studies at the Leningrad Conservatory. NA Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory under the guidance of prof. AB Shalova. He taught at the Voronezh College of Music and the Art Institute. Since 1983 - the guitarist-singer in Lenkontserte (now - St. Petersburg concert). Guitar teacher, St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts and the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. NA Rimsky-Korsakov. Is the editor of the St. Petersburg anthology "The Academy of Classical Guitar." The head of the International Guitar Academy (IAC), one of the organizers and the artistic director of the annual St. Petersburg Open International Guitar Competition "Guitar Virtuosos" (January 2004-2006).. Diploma III All-Russian competition of folk music (Tula, 1986). In October 2002, invited by the jury of the International Guitar Competition "Guitar in Russia" (Voronezh).
